Now, That Is An Avatar...

...or not. I think it is.
At any rate, this is my Crimespace avatar and yes, it is a real working camera.
P.S. I was lead astray by the original link, it is a Vietnam-era camera and not a WWII-era camera.

Bubs,

It was made for WWII.

Sky Dad,

I believe seeing anything with a trigger, they'd take it for granted that it was a functional gun and act apporpriately.

Paulie Decibels and Patti,

Ain't it though?

Terry Thomas used a camera like this in the Jack Lemmon comedy, "How to Murder Your Wife".

Doc,

Dang it, you went fairly obscure Lemmon on me and now I have to look it up. I've seen nary a trailer of this, though that was a good story about Jack running for his life.

Quin,

Ah...jeez, it's for a social network that specializes in crime fiction. I'd never use that camera in actual life unless I had to defend myself from Christian Bale ; )

Isn't that the best? I'll bet it will go over in certain parts of Texas ; )
