Quoth The Twain

People have co-opted this quote or quite possibly, have come to the exact same conclusion on their own. Yet Samuel Clemens apparently is the originator-

“Truth is stranger than fiction, but it is because Fiction is obliged to stick to possibilities; Truth isn't.”

I will admit the only portion of the quote I knew from before your post was Truth is stranger than fiction. After reading the rest of the quote, I LOVE IT.
