"Bridgette" by Francis J. Comando from Stormfists Magazine
Speaking of hard-boiled, my story "When Clementine Sings," was published in Stormfists this week. Even though it reads as a Prohibition gangster piece, you might recognize someone from Melniboné. Please, pop on over and take a look.
But don't just visit for my sake, because every week, FJ Comando publishes something new.

Looks like a classsy joint. I'll read it in the morning.
That was a fine piece of work, Cormac. Great writing mate. Looks a great site as well. Will be keeping an eye on it.
Regards, David.
Cormac, congrats on this piece. An absolute belter of a tale. Great pace, excellent dialogue and great fun all round!!
That was a hard tale told with grit and style. Loved the ending.
Congrats Cormac on a great piece. I printed it out and read it over lunch while I had my sarnies, very entertaining (your tale and not my sarnies), I loved the hardboiled narrative and the dialogue. Super stuff.
The website looks very cool as well.
Kind regards.
Johnny Dollars,
Thank you, and FJ runs a tight ship, just like you did.
Paulie Decibels,
It's a top notch mag.

Aussie Paul,

Alan,
Thank you, and damn it, I had to look up "sarnies." It is quite a site.
A great opening line- good stuff, Cormac
I posed for that picture, you know.
Mike,
Thank you, but the opening line is the one thing I don't like about the story.
Becky,
Mmmmm, oh, yeah! That's right, you wore that hat to Trailer Park NYC!
