Borges and Doctorow for Writing Quotes

These quotes came from The Creative Screenwriting Weekly Newsletter.

"Every writer creates his own precursors. His work modifies our conception of the past, as it will modify the future."

- Jorge Luis Borges

"There is no longer any such thing as fiction or nonfiction; there's only narrative."

- E.L. Doctorow

No, but I was a teenage-teenager. And were you?

I've read a couple of Doctorow's books. I quite like him.

But I LOVE Calvin and Hobbes.

Becky,

As do we all, and somehow Watterson at his most cynical, seems even more apropos now.

Laura,

"I was all sweetness and light unless I wanted a wooden spoon across my fine ass!"

Good thing I'm as cute as a button eh!

Laura,

I don't understand that saying at all, neither buttons nor bugs are "cute."

If the button is of a cute kitten or perhaps the bug a sweet little lady bug it would make sense.

Alright then.. I'll change it to.. "Good thing I'm as cute as a newborn puppy tripping over it's own feet!"

Better??? :P
