"Cormac Brown" is my pen name. I'm an up-and-slumming writer in the city of Saint Francis and I'm following in the footsteps of Hammett...minus the TB and working for the Pinkerton Agency. A couple of stories that I've stiched and stapled together, can be found here.
That is, my story "Recalculating" is on Flash Fire 500. Now please, go take a gander, while I try to figure just where did I put that fire extinguisher.
Isn't having a GPS in the first place kind of asking for directions? Is there a parallel to the GPS in the human side of the analogy? As in... asking directions is to GPS as X is to mother?
Thanks. This and "They Come From Above" were orignally intended for a sight that specializes in short fiction. I liked them the way they were and I didn't add a lot to their word count.
"I love torment Gps girls - they get so bitchy."
Absolutely, that's what amazed me the first time I used one this past summer and I suspect the programmer of one company is a friend of mine from my younger years, because the Garmin voice sure sounds like his mom.

Nice change of direction!
Paulie Decibels,
Thank you, I tried to go right-hand drive on the audience.

Welcome and thanks.
Nice work, spare too.

I will check it out some time this week. I still have a C. Brown tale in my BTAP inbox I need to read first. Busy, busy...
