Writing Quotes From Toni Morrison And Norman Mailer

"I wrote my first novel because I wanted to read it."
– Toni Morrison

"Being a real writer means being able to do the work on a bad day."

– Norman Mailer

The latter quote and me are in conference, so I'll see you whenever I'm done.

Take care.

This is the first time I can recall being wowed by anything about Toni Morrison! Thank you! Get back to work.

Hope your day gets batter and the writing flows.

Good for you, keeping regular writing hours!

Dale,

You're welcome and obviously I'm not working at this moment.

Sky Dad,

"Hope your day gets batter"

Hopefully fries and clams come with that...

"and the writing flows."

Thank you, sir.

Rosaria,

Thanks, I'll try.

Glad to know you are trying to figure it out rather than throwing in the towel.

I'd say something more inspirational but it's Saturday night and my brain cells are on hiatus.

Pyzahn,

I wouldn't throw in the towel, that post was related...nevermind. Thanks for the encouragement.

Toni Morrison's quote is dead on, we want the story more than anyone ever after. As for doing the work even on the hard days... yeah. Still working on that one.

Pamila,

But isn't that the cross, or incredibly itchy rash of all writers?

Why don't these famous authors ever write quotes about how bloody hard it is to be published, no matter how good you are.
